Description
Overview
The FLIR K85 is a premium thermal imaging camera (TIC) made to help firefighters work through the toughest conditions with confidence. It uses FLIR’s FSX (Flexible Scene Enhancement) technology, which sharpens thermal images by taking structural detail such as edges and corners from the internal visual camera and overlaying it on the thermal picture. The result is a very clear image in which building layouts, obstacles and victims stay visible through dense smoke.
Built for the extreme heat of the fireground, the K85 measures up to 650 °C (1202 °F) and produces images at 640 × 480pixels. Its 4-inch LCD stays easy to read, and the simple 3-button interface can be used with heavy firefighting gloves. It stores up to 200 files for post-incident reporting and carries an IP67 rating, which makes it a dependable tool for search and rescue and structural firefighting.
